Welcome to Sagami-ono: suburb of Tokyo and our home for a month.

A few days ago I was assured that there was nothing here - that it is a complete rural backwater.

Perhaps it’s because there are no shops or restaurants…

Very little in the way of public transport…

Or maybe it’s because the local department store only has a small bus station underneath it (to supplement its multi storey car park)!

We’re planning to head into Central Tokyo tomorrow (Saturday). The mind boggles slightly at how busy that might be - and I thought New Street was bad!
