Frequently asked questions

(If you have any other queries, please use the contact form)

Where does the name “invisible hand” come from?

The invisible hand as seen here is an adaptation of a metaphor from the field of economics.

What happens with the profits?

The products on sale here bear various motifs derived from my art projects and all profits made from their sale are used to fund further art practice. The intention is to develop a pot of funds that can be used for responsive projects without having to go through lengthy grant/sponsorship application processes. There is more information in this post.

The T-shirt sizes seem really small, what’s going on?

The sizes given are a measurement across the width of the chest of the shirt rather than a measurement around the chest. Divide your chest size by 2 and you’ll be about right…

Why are the delivery times for the T-shirts so long?

It takes about a week for the payments to clear through PayPal and then the order is sent to Germany for printing. I know it seems a bit convoluted, but the print-on-demand approach removes the need to store a stockpile of merchandise.

Are there discounts for buying in bulk?

It can’t hurt to ask - use the contact form to let me know what you intend to buy and how many of each before you place your order.
